The original home is wonderful - it was such a pleasure to stay in this big fabulous old house, which is full of character and nooks that perfectly capture sunbeams to soak up on a cool morning. We loved the architecture, heated bathroom floors, high ceilings and cosy rooms. The beds and pillows were comfortable, we slept so well here. Basic toiletries and tea are also provided. The house is available to host weddings, so the common areas are reconfigured daily to meet the needs of the guests. We thought this flexible approach to service and hospitality enabled a much better experience for everyone, and the staff did it seemingly without effort. We attended a small family wedding, with half the guests staying on site (full house), and half in properties nearby. Everything was organised smoothly, and all guests were catered for breakfast during the 2-night package, in addition to the wedding and reception, which meant everyone was able to meet or catch up on the day before and after the nuptials. The venue felt like a big warm family home where everyone was welcome and had a place. The staff are the stars at Petersons - during our stay they worked tirelessly and discreetly to keep the guests happy with every request. The wedding catering was basic but enough, really good quality and tasty. The standard dinner menu (outside of the wedding package) was superb, and wine options pair well with all courses. The cellar door on site is either an added bonus or a focal point depending on the reason for your stay. Either way, it ensures guests have access to a range of good quality wines from the three wineries owned by this enterprise. I will happily share the recommendation to stay at Petersons Winery. This is a great spot if you want a quiet few days in relaxing and beautiful surrounds.

We visited end of season and the place looked a bit run down. The suite was excellent although the carpet needs replacing (very loose and uneven) The restaurant food was well presented and excellent The wine was slightly expensive in comparison to others and of course only Petersons was available Although the staff were excellent I feel they were "raised off their feet" as it appeared they very understaffed and doing everything resulting in long waits Cooked Breakfast although from a form on arrival was slow and not a very good standard again I feel as a result of inadequate staffing levels, "no disrespect meant to the staff, They did what they could"

The Guesthouse is one of our favourites. The open fireplaces for winter are so welcoming and very relaxing. You have the opportunity to sit and relax or chat with other guests. There are 2 fireplaces in the loungeroom so plenty of room for all to enjoy. The Guesthouse is a little out of town, but we find it is not an issue. The heated floor in the bathroom is so comforting in winter. There are plenty of heaters in the rooms and even electric blankets for those who feel the cold.

The Guesthouse is delightful, with beautiful views. We received a very warm welcome from the staff. Our room was lovely, particularly the bathroom which was supplied with very nice toiletries. We enjoyed a delicious antipasti platter and cheeseboard in the evening. The complimentary wine-tasting was a great bonus! Breakfast was excellent. Overall, we felt that the Guesthouse provided great value for money compared with other places we have stayed. Would definitely recommend!

We loved our stay at Peterson’s. From the moment we arrived we had exceptional service from the staff. We chose to dine in the in house restaurant and was not disappointed. The included breakfast was also very generous and delicious. The two meals were in two different dining rooms and both had lovely ambience. We left very relaxed, with a complimentary bottle of wine and would highly recommend others to stay.
